I’ve Started Using Medium

While I continue to stay always from all Social Media (I've really had enough of it) I do still like to write blogs occasionally, and have been toying with the idea of spending more time writing and publishing long form essays on film. I’ve always been a big fan of writing about and discussing Film Structure and Story and I don’t really have an avenue for that at the moment outside of writing them and leaving them on my laptop (or potentially putting them here)

So, after a little bit of deliberation, I've decided to start writing on Medium. Medium feels like its own little world to me, and while you can grow on there with social media use, it also isn’t essential for what I want, which is simply a place to put my work.

While my LambencyBelt site is mostly about Science Fiction, both reviewing it and eventually sharing my own work within the genre, my page on Medium (and probably publication soon enough) will focus on films from all sorts of genres, and occasionally cover books.

The idea is to discuss Story, Character, and Structure within a wide range of films and genres. Basically, anything I watch, I'll find something from it that I want to discuss. Amongst the opening essays I've put up is one about Blue Crush and one about The Killer, so a nice wide range.
